2 Million 200 Thousand Tons of Wheat Grown in Şanlıurfa This Season
It was reported that 2 million 200 thousand tons of wheat yield was reached on 20 thousand hectares in Şanlıurfa this year.
According to the written statement made by the governor's office, Governor Hasan Şıldak visited the Chief Directorate of the Turkish Grain Office with the accompanying delegation.
Şıldak, who met with producers and institution staff at the office where wheat purchases continue, received information about the yield and work.
Şıldak visited the quality, caliber, tonnage and storage areas.
Stating that Şanlıurfa is an important agricultural center, Şıldak remarked:
"Şanlıurfa accounts for 8 percent of total wheat production in Türkiye. The province is a fertile area in terms of production. Especially in the current grain season, our producers contribute to the national economy by bringing their products to the Turkish Grain Board. This year, we reached a wheat yield of 2 million 200 thousand tons on 20 thousand hectares. Again, we came together with our producers during our visit and listened to their demands. I wish the season to be abundant to all our producers."
