Greenhouse Construction Protocol Signed Between Akçaabat Municipality and DOKAP

Mayor of Akçaabat, Osman Nuri Ekim announced that a protocol of Akçaabat Greenhouse Dissemination Project has been signed between the municipality and DOKAP (East Black Sea Project Regional Development Agency) with the purpose of greenhouse construction.

Ekim published an announcement in which he stressed that the municipality is carrying on with practices that are to provide agricultural development and increase production.

Stating that within the scope of production focused municipalism, implementation of the project with DOKAP will be carried out; Ekim disclosed that 10 greenhouses worth 3.5 million Turkish liras will be constructed.

Pointing out that the municipality will meet the concept of conventional agriculture with modern technologies, Ekim explained further:

“Our goal is to demonstrate the potential of agriculture in our province. We are aware of the value of land in Akçaabat and we preserve this wealth with proper agricultural policies and eco-friendly practices. We see every bit of investment in agriculture as an investment made in Akçaabat, in our residents and in the future of our children. As we are conscious of the fact that there’s no development without agricultural production. Wishing that the protocol of Akçaabat Greenhouse Dissemination Project signed with DOKAP will result in the best interest of our province.”
